ABIDE

Devotional writing for the ordinary work of following Jesus.

Reflections on Scripture, grace, identity, surrender, and learning to live from what God has already given us instead of striving for what we think we still have to earn.

What is Abide?

Abide is a collection of devotional reflections for people who want to know God more deeply in the middle of ordinary life.

I write about Scripture, identity, grace, striving, surrender, and the sometimes-slow work of learning to believe what God says is true.

Nothing particularly polished is required here. Just a Bible, a little honesty, and a willingness to stay awhile.

A devotional delivered to your inbox each weekday, with a longer reflection on Saturdays.

A few minutes of Scripture and reflection for wherever you are.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” - John 15:5 (NIV)

A small dog with light-colored fur looking up at the camera, standing next to a person with a tattooed arm, wearing multiple bracelets and jewelry, on a brick pathway.
People enjoying a sunny day at the beach, walking along the sandy shore near the ocean with a clear blue sky overhead. Some are swimming in the water, while others relax under umbrellas.
