Keep the Pace

“The sun rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it rises.” — Ecclesiastes 1:5

There’s something both comforting and unsettling about this verse. The sun rises, the sun sets, and then it does it all over again. A steady rhythm. A cycle that continues whether we understand it or not.

Life can feel like that too.

There are seasons where things don’t make sense—where prayers seem unanswered, where doors close without explanation, where you find yourself walking a path you never would have chosen. You might look around and wonder, What is God doing? Why this? Why now?

Ecclesiastes reminds us of a quiet truth: not everything is ours to figure out. Just as the sun faithfully rises and sets without our intervention or full understanding, God is working in ways we cannot always see or comprehend.

Trust doesn’t come from having all the answers. It comes from knowing the One who does.

God’s work is often steady, consistent, and unfolding beneath the surface. Even when it feels like nothing is changing, He is moving. Even when life feels repetitive or unclear, He is weaving something purposeful together.

Our role isn’t to decode every detail of His plan.

Our role is to keep walking with Him. To take the next step in obedience.
To remain open, even in uncertainty.
To trust that His rhythm is intentional, even when it feels slow or confusing.

You don’t have to understand everything God is doing to trust that He is good. You don’t have to see the full picture to keep moving forward. Like the sun, you can simply show up, step by step, trusting that He will bring light in its time.

So if today feels unclear or repetitive or heavy—keep walking.

God is already ahead of you, working in ways you cannot yet see.
